Question: What happens if it’s raining or particularly bad weather on the day of the booking?
Answer: If the weather is forecasted to be severe we will call you the evening before the date of hire and advise you of your options and our position. The options available to you will completely depend on the equipment selected and your type of booking. For safety and insurance purposes we would advise and cannot provide inflatables for outside use in adverse weather i.e. strong winds up to 24mph max.

Question: How much notice do I need to give to book a product?
Answer: As much notice as possible. During the height of summer we take bookings well in advance so let us know as soon as you have a date in mind and have chosen your castle so as to avoid disappointment. We will always do our best to accommodate you. Bank holidays and months of December and the Easter period are also popular times for all of our products, so please ensure you book early to avoid disappointment.

Question: How many children/adults are allowed on the castle?
Answer: Each product has different hight and limits. Please note children's castles should never be used by adults. A adult castles can be used by both children and adults.

Question: How much space do I need for a product?
Answer: The dimensions of all our products are shown on our website.
If you are ever concerned about the space you have, to ensure you have a stress free booking, just let us know and we will be sure to have a product right for you.
Each bouncy castle is supplied with a source of power, a method of securing the castle and safety mats. Please note space will be required to ensure the castle is safely set up and secured. This will require a minimum of 1.2m either side of the castle and an additional 3.5 minimum at the front and rear of the castle. This information is subject to the equipment selected, i.e. castles with slides will be slightly different.

Question: Will I require electricity output? How is it powered? How much does it use?
Answer: A supply of electricity will be required for all inflatable bookings. We only require a normal electric socket (general house hold three-pin socket) within 40ft of where you want to put the bouncy castle. We will bring extension leads with us.
Inflatables - the blower runs continuously and uses approximately £0.18 of electricity per hour.

Question: What happens if I do not have access to a power point?
Answer: If you do not have access within 45ft of a power point we can offer you an alternative power source (inflatable hire only). At an additional cost we can provide you with a petrol blower or a generator, depending on how many items you are hiring, at an extra cost.

Question: Do you charge for cancellation?
Answer: A1 Jump and Bounce do not take a deposit. Instead we take a booking fee: a small cost compared to the total booking cost and this is non — refundable. This fee covers our administrative costs when reserving your date, assets, equipment and any material goods required to satisfy the booking. Any bookings cancelled or we can't set up because of strong winds over 24mph will forfeit their booking fee of:

£10 under £100

£20 orders £100 and over

£50 for rodeo bulls / surf simulator / last man standing and orders up too £400

£250 orders £400 to £1000

£500 0n orders £1000 +

also any PayPal fees

Any booking cancelled on the day will need to be paid in full.

Liability & Insurance

Question: Are you fully insured, if a child gets injured who is to blame?
Answer: We carry 5 million pounds worth of public liability cover, (please ask a member of staff if you would like to see it or be provided a copy). With this insurance, if a person is injured whilst using our equipment and this is due to a poor set up or our faulty equipment, we are at fault. We hope to continue our non-claim status.

The company’s liability insurance covers use of the equipment only whilst booked on ‘wet’ hire (supervised by a representative of the company).

The client agrees to indemnify the company for any damage or theft of the company’s equipment whilst on hire.
The company accept no liability for any damage or loss of personal property and or any injury arising from the use of the hired equipment. and users should remove their shoes, glasses, and any sharp objects. Shoes can damage the bouncy castle material, while sharp objects. glasses must be removed as can cause injuries and are set out by HSE and can be found at www.hse.gov.uk.

Any equipment booked on ‘dry hire’ is not covered by the company’s insurance policy and the client is responsible for suitable insurance cover.

Question: Can the product go indoors?
Answer: Yes, all of our products are suitable for indoor use. Just remember to check the height to the ceiling and the height of the product for inflatable hire. The ceiling must be higher than the height of the castle booked to allow for movement and safety. Heights of all our castles are on our website. When checking the height of your hall please keep in mind the height of any suspended lighting, support beams/wires. Please ensure to keep the indoor space safe and if hired we advise you try to keep this in the same condition as hired in.

Question: Am I allowed to hire the product from you and then charge people to use the product?
Answer: Yes you are. Plus if paying us to man your castle, our staff can charge for you and give the money straight to you, freeing up you to do other things.

Question: Are your units safe? Will you teach me how to have a safe day of fun?
Answer: Yes, unlike some other operators all our Bouncy Castles are safety certified, meaning that they have been engineered and tested to the highest possible safety standards according to British Health and Safety Executive guidelines.(very much like a car has a MOT safety check). Our service is also covered by £5m of public liability insurance. A member of A1 Jump & Bounce will also run through a full set of safety instructions when we set up, which includes guidelines like the maximum number of users on the Bouncy Castle at once and a maximum age of users and Before entering the bouncy castle, children should remove their shoes, glasses, and any sharp objects. Shoes can damage the bouncy castle material, while sharp objects and glasses can cause injuries.

Question: My garden slopes a bit - will that be OK?
Answer: Yes. A slight slope is not a problem. If the slope is more than a little, we may not be able to set up in that location. A member staff may request an alternate location so please have one in mind. Remember, safety is our optimum priority.

Question: What time do you deliver and pick up the bouncy castle?
Answer: Delivery and collection times vary according to a number of factors: your requirements, day light hours, season, busyness of the company and availability of staff. Times vary so indoor (venue) bookings and outside bookings can be catered for. As a standard delivery times start from 8am and aim to have all bookings set up by 12pm in the height of the season, unless stated otherwise, enabling plenty of time for set up of your party. Times vary as the winter months set in. We will collect it sometime from 5pm onwards (the same day) unless specified otherwise. We can also cater for hall bookings that is no problem. The latest time we will contract to collect a bouncy castle is 6pm but can start collecting outdoors from 5 onwards, if that’s too early we offer up the later pick ups at just £10 additional charge.

Question: Can I keep the bouncy castle overnight?
Answer: At a extra cost if we think our equipment will be safe. There is an extra charge for overnight hire.

The company reserve the right to refuse delivery if the venue or site is deemed to be unsuitable by our delivery personnel or if the client has failed to notify the company of any delivery obstructions such as stairs or excessive loading distances from our vehicle to the installation site. In such a case no refund will be given and the full hire fee will be due.

The client is responsible for ensuring that suitable security and crowd control measures are in place prior to start of event.

The company reserves the right to cease operation and remove hired equipment from site if at any time a representative of the company feels that guests or clients conduct endangers the safety of the guests, clients, themselves or the safety of the hired equipment. In such cases no refund will be given and full contracted fees will be due to the company.

General

  • An event is only confirmed when we are in receipt of your signed hire agreement together with the non-refundable booking fee.
    It is important that you return your hire agreement to us within 10 working days otherwise we cannot guarantee our availability.
  • A safe electrical supply must be provided for the equipment/artist/entertainers use. As a minimum we need two 13amp sockets within 10m of our area.
    If the start time is delayed due to reasons beyond our control then the client must understand that we still need an hour, but will try to set up as quickly and as safely as possible.
  • Our staff have the right to work in a safe environment. We will not tolerate abuse (physical or otherwise) and reserve the right to end any booking without further notice.
    In such cases a refund will not be given.
  • A1 jump and Bounce Ltd are fully insured, tax registered and provide full booking agreements and invoices with bookings if needed.
